The Position:
We are seeking a full-time Cultural and Linguistic Coordinator.
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years related experience working with culturally diverse populations.
- Possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret relevant materials.
- Possess the ability to present information and respond to questions from staff and stakeholders.
Duties:
- Serves as an advocate for minority families within the five county area served.
- Provides technical assistance to partners to insure for cultural competency in their service delivery and works with the evaluation team to address cultural competency issues as they arise.
- Oversees the completion and implementation of the cultural competency plan.
- Coordinate with Social Marketing Coordinator and CMHC Director to insure for cultural competency in all communications.
- Responsible for insuring those components of CMHC are culturally appropriate and that staff are culturally competent.
- Individuals must demonstrate great cultural and socioeconomic sensitivity to populations served
