Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC)
Egyptian Health Department is the lead agency for our local Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC). The central focus of a ROSC is to create an infrastructure, or “system of care,” that effectively addresses the full range of substance use problems within communities. There are ROSC’s all over the state, and we’re just one of them, working alongside each other to address substance use and promote recovery in our communities. We are a coordinated network of community-based services and supports that are person-centered and build on the strengths and resiliencies of individuals, families, and communities to achieve recovery and improved health, wellness, and quality of life for those with or at risk of substance use disorders.
Our local ROSC is the Southeastern Illinois Substance Use, Prevention, Recovery, and Treatment (SI SUPRT) Council.
Our SI SUPRT Council meets on the first Wednesday of each month to discuss ongoing and new strategies for improving community-wide conditions for people seeking or already in recovery. Please join us if you would like to contribute to the work we are doing, or if you need help with a specific issue in your community.
